Escape the crowds to this secret gem of the Mayan Coast! 
A thriving city in Mayan times, the first city of Spanish Conquistadores to be founded in the region, a city coveted by pirates and a scenario of Mayan wars in the time, Bacalar is renowned nowadays for its lagoon with striking hues of blue and water clarity and picturesque little town.

Structure of the Tour

Bacalar is a delight for all the senses. In this magical town, enjoy the Laguna de los 7 Colores (7 colors laggon), with a nice boat ride.

 

You can bathe and appreciate the different shades of blue that this body of water offers. When finished, visit the picturesque town where there are important sites such as the Baluarte de San Felipe fort, which was built to defend the city from pirates. The church of San Joaquin is also a must and take a dip in the famous cenotes of Esmeralda and Cocalitos.
